1. There's a place on earth where Christ is now exalted.
        He's practically expressed there corporately.
    His universal church has been located.
        This is what the church life means to me.

    2.        How will it be when we're all in that city
              Enjoying Christ, our life, eternally!
           Now we can taste of that fair city's glory.
              This is what the church life means to me.

  2. Here Christ's members all relate in Him together.
        They fellowship in love organically.
    A fellowship clear as transparent jasper -
        This is what the church life means to me.

    3.        How real it is that we're all in that city
              Enjoying Christ, our life, eternally!
           We're tasting now of that fair city's glory.
              Yes, this is what the church life means to me.

  3. Here we're taking Christ for each "right" thought or feeling;
        In ord'nances we'll not indulgent be.
    We'd rather have the peace of Christ presiding.
        This is what the church life means to me.

  4. It's a place where sick and lame may come for healing.
        From problems of the heart we can be free.
    There's balm of heaven in the Master's dealing.
        This is what the church life means to me.

  5. In the church we all enjoy a special portion -
        A richer Christ o'erflows abundantly.
    Oh, what a feast for all God's gathered children!
        This is what the church life means to me.
